When faced with teaching music using iPads in a school, college or other setting, which apps should you turn to? There are so many apps! Lynda Arnold chooses 5 essential ones every classroom needs.

MyRhythm

ClearTune

At last, I found the elusive app I've been looking for! ClearTune! I'm a flute player, also, and have wanted something to monitor my intonation. Very cool article. Thanks for posting this.

I just started teaching piano lessons again, and I have a 5 year old student who obviously loves his iPad more than life itself. These apps will help when its time to work on Ear Training activities, and also with everyday practice. Thanks for posting!

Have you been incorporating some apps into your lessons the past few weeks? How's it going? I'm sure your all your students will love using the iPad during lessons.

These are great suggestions! I have used some of these apps in my classroom before and really enjoy them. I would also suggest the app AURALBOOK. It's really great for improving your listening skills. The voice feedback is really great--no other app does that! My students really like how easy it is to use and they always so it's really fun. Plus, it's free so the parents are happy too. Check it out!
