Watch Akai Pro Preview MPC Touch 2.0 BETA At NAMM 2016

We caught up with Dan Gill from Akai Professional who showed us the rather impressive beta of version 2.0 of the MPC Touch software at NAMM 2016. Warning: stunning features on show.

MPC Touch has had a successful launch already, but Akai Professional aren’t resting on their laurels. They’ve been busy working on ways to improve the MPC Touch experience via version 2.0 of their MPC Touch software. In many ways Akai Pro appear to be making the software much more like a full DAW.

2.0 is in BETA right now. However, Dan Gill gave us a preview of the main features you can expect.

Here’s a quick overview of the main features:

  • 128 audio tracks
  • New user interface
  • Real-time time stretching
  • Real-time audio warping
  • Real-time pitch adjustment

There’s no firm date on MPC Touch 2.0 software’s release date. However, we do not it’ll be available later this year. Similarly the upgrade price is still to be revealed.
