It’s not been long since the STEMS format was introduced by Native Instruments, allowing for compatible hardware and software to be used to DJ with up to 4 separate “stem” tracks. Now, DJ Player Pro brings STEMS Support to Apple’s iPad.
DJ Player Pro tell us that STEMS is fully implemented with its four decks supporting 4 stems each giving you 16 simultaneous tracks under your control. That’s a lot of tracks!
Aside from STEMS support the app can be used standalone or with external ixers, MIDI controllers, audio interfaces and vinyl (DVS). They tell us that it boasts better performance than laptop DJ software (a mighty claim indeed) and this leads to low latency. Then there’s its DJ Cloud features which allow you to store cue points, loops and bp data and automatically sync your devices.
We haven’t tested this free app yet but it’s FREE on the App Store with some pricey add-ons.
