UK Book Publishers and Malorie Blackman Launch Project Remix

Books are back! And if you're 13-19 years old and in the UK, you've a chance to enter a contest to remix books. Remixing isn't only music related. In this contest the focus is on being creative.

As musicians and producers, we've probably all had a hand in remixing tunes, or borrowing sections from an inspiring song and weaving it into our own sonic creations. But have you ever tried remixing a book into music? (Or even film, a graphic novel, poem, or another story?)

We're going to focus in on the music side, considering we are AskAudio Mag…

So, if you're between the ages of 13-19 and a resident of the UK, then check out Malorie Blackman's Project Remix. Malorie is the Waterstones Children's Laureate 2013-2015 and she's aiming is to find the UK's best young writers and creatives who are inspired by popular fiction.

Even if you're not 13-19 & based in the UK this might be a fun project to try for yourself!

Check out the video below for more info and remember your remix (or your child's remix) can be an original song inspired by the books, stories and poems in the Project Remix list.
