The Machines in Music event has become a regular on the calendar for synth and audio hardware enthusiasts and professionals. Imagine some of your favorite modular and Eurorack synth makers all in one room in New York. You can play machines, experiment with sounds and talk (or attempt to above the noise).
This year at Machines in Music, Steve H, publisher of AskAudio, AskVideo & macProVideo (Nonlinear Educating) wandered the floor. He wasn't only interested in trying out some music gear though. Since the recent passing of Don Buchla, the synthesizer world no longer has two of its most influential pioneers in Bob Moog and Don Buchla. Steve, a longtime Buchla synth and controller owner and player, spoke to a number of companies and artists at Machines in Music to find out how Moog and Buchla has influenced their lives, modules and direction.

It's an interesting watch for those deeply invested in the world or modular synths and those who are curious but haven't dipped their toe in the water yet.
