This 35+ video, on-demand Beginner's Guide is the best way to learn Live Lite!

Ableton today released a Live 11 Lite upgrade. Free for all Live Lite owners, Live 11 Lite adds new and updated devices, more sounds, a higher scene count and new functionality.

Highlights from the free upgrade include:

MIDI Polyphonic Expression

Support for MPE-capable hardware – add bends, slides and pressure for each individual note in a chord, add subtle expression variations, morph between chords and create evolving sonic textures more easily.

MPE Control – a device that lets you edit the pitch, slide and pressure envelopes of each note to refine the expression in your music.

Audio Effects added to Live 11 Lite

Phaser-Flanger – a time-based effect with a lush sound, wide frequency and modulation ranges, and a Doubler mode for short modulatable delay.

Limiter – a studio standard for all music styles, Limiter sets an absolute output limit on any signal. Useful for mastering a track or on any signal that cannot exceed a certain volume.

Saturator – a waveshaping distortion for adding dirt, punch and warmth.More new features

Up to 16 Scenes – Musicians can now add up to 16 Scenes in Session View for more varied arrangements and space to experiment with ideas.

Expression Control – a device that gives you detailed control of how MIDI parameters such as velocity, modwheel, pitch bend, aftertouch, and keytrack respond in Live.

Tempo Following – Live listens to and adjusts its tempo based on incoming audio from another musician or other gear like drum machines in real time.
