The World's Biggest Record Collection Available for Everyone?

Zero Freitas from Brazil has over 5 million records in his collection. In this video interview with the BBC he explains how that happened and how he'd like to make it accessible for everyone.

If you're a collector of vinyl, you've likely come across a friend or family member who's eyes have widened when they've seen your stash of records. Perhaps they even exclaimed, “that's the most records I've ever seen in one place!”

Well, now you can point them to this video showing the world's largest record collect ever. Yes, even larger than the one in your attic… and your bedroom… and that fills your entire home and garage. This collection by Zero Freitas has been formed since he was a teenager growing up in Brazil, and now in his 60s, Zero's collection has surpassed the 5 million mark.

In this BBC News video, Zero shows his collection, tells them what inspired him to collect records, and explains that his “ultimate ambition is to create a vinyl library accessible to the whole world”.

If you're planning on your record collection rivalling that of Zero's, you'd best get buying those records quick!
