The 2nd Music Hackathon at SXSW is less than a month away. This promises to be a symposium of musicians, designers, hackers and programmers with 24 hours to create something new and having the chance to win a $10,000 prize.

SXSW told Billboard: ”Hackers and artists have a lot in common. The core of their art involves writing in their own languages, music and code, often staying up all night to get projects done," said CODEMKRS producer Travis Laurendine. "This Hackathon unites the artists of both industries together on the same team to carve out an interactive future for musicians and their fans."

The Hackathon begins at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 18th until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 19th at the Hilton Austin Downtown, with the Championship Awards Show to follow on Friday, March 20th.
