In this short video, mixing engineer and producer Alex Solano takes you on a guided tour of the VEQ1A, which is a recreation of the Pultec EQP-1A. With a focus on simplicity of use, it's nonetheless a legendary and amazing-sounding module.

Alex uses live sound examples to show you how this EQ module can be used to quickly and easily shape the sound and tone of a sound - in this case a drum part - applying different treatments to alter the effect. He demonstrates how to take advantage of the specific capabilities of the VEQ1A to get radically different results from the same audio track. Be sure to check out the rest of the videos in this course for a complete guide to Antelope Audio's DSP-powered Vintage EQs.
