In just over 24 hours from the time of writing, Roland is going to unveil something new. Something special. Something for the Roland AIRA range. A new... hardware music machine.
There will be a livestream of the launch on their Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/OfficialRolandAIRA/
So, what is this new product? For starters, this is a Roland AIRA product, so will fit into their exsiting range of machines, including the System 8 plug-out synth, System 500 eurorack synth modules, M-100 AIRA headphones, System-1 synth, TR-8, TB-3, VT-3, and System-1m (semi-modular plug-out synth).
Well, here at Ask.Audio, we do actually know what is going to be announced early on Monday morning (UK time) / Midnight (Pacific Time)... but we're not saying until Roland officially make their announcement.
What we can say is there's very good reason to be excited. It'll appeal to studio and live musicians and producers and to those who appreciate classic music hardware origins with improvements and a modern twist. Seriously, we're saying no more until Monday morning!
So what do you think the new Roland AIRA machine will be?
- Mono synth
- Poly synth
- Drum machine
- MIDI controller
- Eurorack module/(s)
- Something else
Tell us in the comments...
And stay tuned to AskAudio in 24 hours for the big announcement.
