In this 4 and a half minute video tutorial, Rishabh Rajan shows a number of essential and useful features for the step sequencer in Roland’s JU-06. This video is taken from the complete course: Roland Boutique 101: JU-06 Explained and Explored.
From how to access the step sequencer to changing sounds while the sequencer is running, to adding rests, changing the tempo using the pitch bend ribbon controller, and accessing the different sequencer patter presets.
Changing the pitch / note each step is really simple and intuitive too. While it’s possible to use the Mod wheel to change the global gate time for all steps, you can also adjust individual step gate times too. Furthermore adjusting parameters in real-time while the sequencer is running is a lot of fun.
