under pro, you should have , the SOUND is absolutely bloody fantastic and the limited fidelity videos can't do it justice.
You actually do have access to the sampling engine and memory for using your own samples, I don't necessarily see it as a con that you can't physically sample on the keyboard. Most pro folks entering a workstation market at this price are not going to utilize the 1/4" inputs typically provided for sampling. They are going to sample in a studio, with a DAW, and load those samples up via network or USB.
As far as the price, I'm indeed sad that this is where we are at now for the typical keyboard workstation - however it seems to be clear that the market has dictated that. If I want to have a Montage (and I do), I'll be paying that price - same as you.
i was just wondering if you could tell us if the fsx keybed on the montage 6 and 7, can trigger all those layers of velocity, on the piano sounds, to the same extent as with the weighted keybed on the montage 8?
i know it wont 'feel' as nice while playing piano parts, as the 8 will, but my main question is, with practice, can the keybed on the montage 7 trigger all those levels of feeling and velocity in the piano, as is possible on the weighted keys of the 8?
