Olav Basoski Opens Up Catalog of Dutch House As Webstore

The time is right to re-educate yourself on the finer things in music. We're talking Dutch House. Legend from the early days until now, Olav Basoski, has opened up his entire back catalogue for all.

Olav Basoski is the “grand seigneur” of Dutch house music. Anyone who has heard him play one of his firing sets across the globe has been overwhelmed by his ability to lock a dancefloor into a groove for hours on end.

Olav Basoski stood at the crib of the international house scene and has been on top of it ever since. Being the leading man behind the infamous Dutch label Work Records in the 1990's he’s released one true classic after another. Think Pancake – “Don’t turn your back”, think Sil – “Windows”, or “Opium Scumbagz”, the #1 Ibiza anthem of 2000 under his own name on Defected Records, not to mention one of the most sought after house music vinyl series ever produced, “Samplitude”.

In 1997, after a very succesful period of producing housemusic together with his studiopartner DJ Erick E, award winning producer and DJ Olav Basoski decided to go solo as a music artist.

The first releases under his own name were the Samplitude Series. A collection of 12” vinyls, comprising over 50 tracks in total, each holding enough weight to carry the title housemusic classic.

And it doesn’t stop there. Olav’s remix discography is astounding, well over a hundred! From Moby to James Brown, from Bob Marley to Bingo Players and from Armin van Buuren to Todd Terry to Sander van Doorn, everyone has called him in for help.

In 2005 Olav releases his "Waterman" and again all hell breaks loose. The record gets released in almost 25 countries, tops every chart all over the world and reaches 'gold' status on vinyl alone, a rare feat these days.

His DJ sets have gained him a reputation of being one of the most respected key players in the scene.

Now, for the first time ever, Olav has released his entire catalog, going back as far as 1990, in high resolution 24 bit wav format in his own webstore at www.olavbasoski.com
