Native Instruments公司宣布KOMPLETE 10和KOMPLETE 10 ULTIMATE

I'm always very interested in how NI bringt their Komplete series forward, owning Komplete 8 Ultimate myself. In the past I got those updates more regularly, Komplete 5 to Komplete 6 felt like a big upgrade with their flagship products being updated. But I feel like new versions of Komplete are just a wrap of all the products they released throughout the year.

I really like NI's design and UI of their new products. They're beautiful and look intuitive. They do a few things very good. I'm very interested also in the Kontrol app, the "spiritual little brother of Kore" so to speak. Is this going to be available without the keyboard?

All in all though I don't see any reason to upgrade, still, even though I'm 2 versions behind. I'd really like to see an update of their old flagship products like FM8, Massive, and especially Absynth. Also Kontakt could add some new functions (looking at some great features in MachFive 3 of MotU). Especially the interface of Absynth feels so old and outdated. At this point, NI could probably just transfer Massive, FM8 and Absynth into Reaktor and give it a great UI overhaul. I find Absynths and FM8's UI to be very fiddely and super annoying. Massive on the other hand is a near perfect product.

I'd really like to see this instead of 3 new pianos, another compressor (Supercharger, don't they have enough compressors already?), a drum synth (Polyplex, looks like being a lightweight Battery or a part of Maschine's internal drum synth). How many pianos and compressors does one need in a Komplete pack? The effort that went into those redundant products could have been directed to making a solid upgrade to their existing apps. Or maybe NI shifted strategy from a product company to a content company, always releasing new content around new user interfaces, then letting them as is, no need to update, as new things are ever coming.

Well, obviously this is only my personal opinion in the situation I'm currently in. And I personally think they could have used the energy to bringing their core products further than releasing mixed and matched bits of existing products in a new form. Of course, as things stand, Absynth, Massive and FM8 are not their core products for a long time anymore ;)
