In 1989, Waldorf Music released the Microwave I Wavetable Synthesizer. The Microwave was inspired by Wolfgang Palm's PPG Synthesizer technology and made wavetable synthesise more affordable.
Many instruments followed the Microwave over the last 30 years including models like Wave, XT, Pulse or the Q-Series, just to name a few. Soon, our music technology followed its way into computers, based on the platform of virtual instruments. Plugins like Largo, PPG or Nave are well-known worldwide among synthesizer enthusiasts.
It has been a long journey with ups and downs. Thanks to you and all the Waldorf fans around the globe, we were able to stay on track for three decades, developing new and innovative instruments like our latest models Quantum and Kyra. Without you, this story of success would not have been possible.
