Impact Soundworks Releases Celestia: Heavenly Sound Design

Impact Soundworks are back with a new Kontakt instrument, Celestia. With over 6GB of content utilising over 200 unique instruments, this sound library is designed for atmospheric and ethereal needs.

OWINGS MILLS, MD -- Sample developer Impact Soundworks released today Celestia: Heavenly Sound Design, their latest virtual instrument for the Native Instruments Kontakt sampler. Celestia includes a generous sound library of acoustic, synthetic, and vocal sound sources, a deep synth engine, and over 550 presets in 13 categories. The library is available for special introductory pricing through March 25, 2014.

The sounds of Celestia are designed for the lighter end of the sonic spectrum, with atmospheric pads, angelic choirs, ethereal textures, hybrid acoustic layers, and hundreds of other instruments evocative of the word 'heavenly'. A powerful dual-layer sound engine and modern UI provide users with endless ways to tweak and customize any of the patches, or create new ones from scratch.

Impact Soundworks was founded in 2007 by composers Andrew Aversa and Will Roget, II with the goal of creating innovative, affordable and unique sample libraries “designed with composers in mind.”

“This is one of our most versatile and comprehensive instruments yet,” said Aversa, lead designer of Celestia. “Whether you're writing emotional scores, progressive trance, jazz fusion, ambient music, sci-fi, or anything in between, it's easy to find something beautiful and inspiring here.”

The library of Celestia includes over 200 unique instruments totaling nearly 6gb (compressed). The engine features two layers with independent controls including volume, pan, pitch, multiple envelopes, multimode filter and LFO, and sample start. A global FX rack provides seven unique effects types ranging from an amplifier and bitcrusher to a convolution reverb with a selection of custom impulse responses. Also included is a global arpeggiator, gater and performance panel for deep customization of sequencing and playback.

“Though we've created lots of inspiring presets and sound sources, we designed Celestia to be easy to tweak and customize. A randomizer button helps create variation in any patch, and an internal preset system lets you cook up your own sounds even if you don't know much about synthesis.” said Aversa.

Celestia: Heavenly Sound Design is available now at Impact Soundworks for a discounted intro price of $119 (list price: $139). Owners of the Juggernaut library can crossgrade for $99. This deal expires March 25, 2014. For more info, demos, a video walkthrough, and to purchase, please visit:
