The Velocity Processor is an ultra useful MIDI FX that a lot of Logic Pro X users probably pass by. But, understanding and using the different modes available can make quite a difference to your MIDI performances. Booker Edwards shows you how the Value/Range and Add/Scale modes can make a difference to your MDII performances:
Watch the complete Logic Pro FastTrack 102: MIDI FX course here.
In an earlier video from the same course, Booker shows how to instantiate the MIDI Processor on a software instrument track and explores the Comp. Exp. mode. Here's a quick run through on how to place Velocity Processor on your software instrument track.
1. Select a software instrument track and click on "MIDI FX" in the channel strip in the Inspector. Choose "Velocity Processor" from the drop down menu.
2. To follow along with the video above make sure to click in "Mode" and select Value/Range.
About Logic Pro FastTrack 102: MIDI FX Course

However, there are a bunch of other MIDI FX available in the channel strip that will add a ton of creativity and control to your productions and that's what this FastTrack™ course lasers in on! Then, be sure to watch the 4 bonus tutorials at the end of the course and download the Logic Pro resource file to see some of the coolest MIDI magic that the MIDI FX can do!
