How To Roll Your Own Sound From Scratch In UVI Falcon

UVI's Falcon is a powerful environment for building synth or sample-based instruments, and it's easier than you may think. Joe Albano shows you how it's done.

UVI's Falcon is the standalone app and plug-in that runs the company's software instruments, but it's also a powerful environment for creating and modifying instruments, with extensive sample and synthesis-based tools for controlling every aspect of what you are creating. In this video from the course UVI Falcon 101: The Video Manual, Joe Albano shows you how to use the building blocks of the instrument to create your own sound from scratch.

UVI Falcon 101: The Video Manual

Starting by dragging in an oscillator - either synth or sample based depending on your needs - he shows you how to quickly create an analog-style synth. By dragging a number of elements from Falcon's pre-built library of modules, he explains the building blocks of any synthesizer, and how to put one together. Later he goes on to demonstrate how sample-based instruments work, complete with key mapping, velocity and other parameters. You'll see that this powerful instrument can be put to work more easily than you might have thought when you watch this and the other videos in this comprehensive course using the links below.
