Title is incorrect - this is for Drum Machine Designer (DMD), which uses Ultrabeat.

Drum KIT Designer uses EXS24 and is a different deal, better for acoustic kits than DMD.

Yes I noticed this too. Ask.Audio named the article for me. I though it was renamed to save space but your right should be changed.

Nice Article! Very helpful and thank you Darren.

Also thanks erikbojerik for clearing up the incorrect Title issue with the correct one.

How do I get LPX to display the piece descriptors in the cells? When I load "Empty Kit" it just looks blank.
DarrenB
They got rid of it!! They were removed in the last update I think. I have no idea why.
DrWasabi
Clicking on the finder makes the DMD window disappear, so can't drag and drop. Any ideas?
Rounik
Hi DrWasabi,

You'll need to use key commands to make this work.
Select your file in the Finder. Click and hold its name or icon with left mouse button.
Now hold Command and hit the Tab key once to switch back to Logic. Release the "Command" key.
Drop the file into DMD.
DrWasabi
Thanks Rounik, that worked!
