In almost every genre of pop/rock music, a guiding principle is that the bass player and the drummer's kick drum need to be locked in for the music to groove. Logic Pro makes this task easy to do!  
Pic 1: A funky bass part.
Pic 2: All Notes are selected.
Pic 3: Do the same for velocity.
Pic 4: Shift-select the first note to deselect it.
Pic 5: Transform > Humanize function.
Pic 6: Click the “Operate” button.
Pic 7: The note positions and velocities are sligthly altered.

Would you be able to do a small article like this for q-range? I've watched the vids, I've read the manual and I still can't seem to get it through my head, mainly with the pos an neg values. I know what q-range is I used to use it all the time with performer. The +/- value thing really confuses me.

Dave, it is simple. Let us say you are quantizing 8th notes at 90% Q-Strength and you set the Q-Range at -10 (tics). (Logic defaults to 240 ticks per 16th note.)
What you are telling Logic is if the note is off the 8th note by 10 or fewer ticks, leave it where it is, If it is more than 10, move it 90% towards the 8th note grid.

If you set it to +10, it is the opposite. Then you are telling Logic is if the note is off the 8th note by 10 or more ticks, leave it where it is, If it is less than 10, move it 90% towards the 8th note grid.

Dude...that's all I ever wanted. Why doesn't anyone else say that as clearly? I felt like such a dunce, because DP didn't really ever phrase it that way, it was more just related to Logic's neg setting. I'm not really sure when I'd use the + side, but I totally understand what it's doing.
