I met Bob at the last NAMM show before he died. I was just looking at all the cool hardware I couldn't afford and he approached me and greeted me. Talk about an amazing human being. He just casually chatted with me about anything and everything for about 20 minutes. I wasn't a buyer or retailer, but it didn't matter to him. He was just happy to talk. However, at one point during our conversation he looked down and saw my Roland bag that held all my brochures and swag I had collected. He scowled at it, walked over behind a counter and brought out a Moog canvas tote and dumped all of the contents of the Roland bag into it. He handed me the Moog bag and threw away the Roland bag. He said, "That's better" and we continued our conversation. It was epic.
