It's finally about to happen. Elektron are getting closer and closer to the day when Overbridge 2.0 will be available for everyone. We're talking about giving the Digitakt, Digitone and other Elektron music machines super powers.
Well, lots of new features for existing machines. Digitakt and Digitone users will especially benefit and it'll likely explode the workflow possibilities. For Digitakt and Digitone owners it means being able to use your machine as a 2-in, 2-out audio interface, and being able to stream the 8 internal tracks, external inputs, and main bus to separate tracks in your DAW.
For now, Overbridge 2.0 is in closed BETA. You need to apply to join this program here.
Here's the features Digitakt owners will benefit from:
- Fully integrate Digitakt with DAW environments
- Control Digitakt with a dedicated VST/AU plugin interface
- Use Digitakt as a 2 in/2 out sound card (CoreAudio/ASIO/WDM)
- Stream the eight internal tracks, external inputs, and main bus to separate DAW tracks (24 bit/48 kHz)
- Recall all Digitakt settings when loading a DAW project
- Sample management functionality
In preparation for Overbridge 2.0, seven new updates have been released by Elektron to cover the Analog Four MKI and MKII, Analog Keys, Analog RYTM MKI and MKII, Digitakt, Digitone, and Analog Heat MKI. We assume the Analog Heat MKII released last week is already compatible with Overbridge 2.0.
