Curious New Pioneer '909 On Super-Steroids' DJ Mixer Video Teaser

While Native Instruments launch the new STEMS open file format into the world, with support for Traktor hardware and software, Pioneer DJ have their own excitement in a box.  

The teaser video for their new DJ Mixer has got the internet talking. Firstly, there’s a simple narrative which some on YouTube believe is The Magnificent, also known as DJ Jazzy Jeff.

Here’s what he says during the video: “This is going to change everything. Especially for me. This is everything that I would ever need. This is kind of like the 909 on super-steroids.”

And yes, the Roland 909 reference is not lost on us either. We’re scratching our heads as to how much of an instrument/mixer hybrid this new Pioneer DJ kit is likely to be.

The video title is, “Prepare for Battle.” Could this be a scratch / battle mixer then? Well, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out, but we’re still excited. Fortunately, judging by the flashing numbers at the end of the video, this new DJ mixer will be unveiled on the 6th August 2015 (that’s Wednesday this week!)

Or more likely, he's referring to the Pioneer CDM-909 mixer. The TR is not the only 909. ;-)
