Coalescence - MaxforLive Instrument Redefines Sampling Through Machine Learning

Coalescence is a Max for Live multisampler that redefines sampling through cutting-edge concatenative techniques and machine learning.

Coalescence, your compact Max for Live instrument, redefines sampling through cutting-edge concatenative techniques and machine learning. Harnessing a SOM neural network, it organizes samples into clusters based on chosen spectral features, unleashing creative possibilities.

Playback Modes:

  • Point: MIDI-repitched playback from a chosen sample slice. External audio input dynamically controls the lookup point based on similarity.
  • Rings: Trigger circular ranges for random sample playback. Ideal for drum kits and intricate slicing.
  • Paths: Glide or jump through individual playback paths with MIDI pitches, perfect for creating sequences and dynamic movements.

Neural Network Features:

  • Cluster Visualization: Spectral organization in a 2D circle, offering intuitive control.
  • Training Options: Choose from 4 spectral features for clustering, including Chroma, Mel, Bark, and Speech.
  • Flexible Transient Use: Opt for transients only or use every spectral frame for network analysis.

External Audio Input:

  • Dynamic Modulations: Route external audio input for modulation, triggering voices, or controlling sample slices based on similarity.
  • Envelopes and Pitch Detection: Utilize envelope follower and pitch detector for versatile modulation possibilities.

Robust Modulation System:

  • Versatile Modulation Sources: Two LFOs, two envelopes, random spray values, external audio input modulation, and standard MIDI sources.
  • Per-Voice Filter: Choose from standard, ladder, or vowel/formant filter modes, each with unique parameters.

OS Compatibility: Mac & Windows
Min. Requirements: Ableton Live 10 Suite or Ableton Live 10 Standard with MaxforLive Installed
