Cakewalk Releases New L-Phase Mixing and Mastering Plug-ins

Boston, MA, (JANUARY 30, 2017) – Cakewalk, dedicated to powerful and thoughtfully designed software for modern musicians, announces the distinctive L-Phase Plug-ins series. Comprised of the L-Phase Equalizer and L-Phase Multiband compressor, these modernized VST3 plug-ins represent a new breed of processing with advanced capabilities and extraordinary accuracy.

The unique features of the L-Phase series set it apart with modes that can be used for both mixing and mastering. The internal 64-bit double precision processing allows for mastering-level sound quality and also offers a zero-latency non-linear mode for mixing at sample rates up to 192 kHz; while all information is viewed in a precisely detailed user interface. In addition, both plug-ins feature Stereo and Mid/Side processing, helpful A/B comparison switching, 3 different range scales, and a configurable spectrum analyzer along with output metering in 16dB, 32dB, 48dB, and 60dB.

Both plug-ins are equipped with professionally crafted presets and the ability to Save, Edit and Organize in an intuitive preset manager. An Expert Mode can be engaged for getting under the hood to customize the spectrum analyzer, or to tweak configurations for both mixing and mastering. A Solo Mode allows for hearing the signal of any independent band by simply clicking any node to hear its independent frequency.

 

L-Phase Equalizer

The L-Phase Equalizer features 20 color-coded bands, 2 phase modes for mixing and mastering, five filter types, and automatically picks the most common filter or EQ curve based on the frequency where the band is created. An incredibly diverse set of tools allows for independent mid/side processing of a signal’s sides and center, while also allowing independent EQ to the left and right sides in stereo mode.

L-Phase Multiband

The L-Phase Multiband takes dynamics control to a higher level with 6 individually side-chainable color-coded bands, external sidechain support with audition, Auto Release to minimize pumping, and also intelligently sets the attack time based on where the band is created.
