Literally an hour before this teaser / news broke my thoughts turned to Behringer. More specifically, what had happened to the past revelations from Uli Behringer on a number of exciting synthesizer clones they were working on.
The Behringer D (clone of MiniMoog Model D) is still on pre-order at Sweetwater for a mere $299, and expected delivery is stated as early 2018. We're still keen to get extensive hands on time with their highly anticipated take on this classic Moog analog synth.
In March this year we reported on the upcoming ARP 2600 and OSCar clones, a week later and then as recently as September we discovered the Oberheim OB-Xa was next on the list. In between these tasty nuggets of news a possible full-size Roland SH-101 remake looked to be on the cards too.
Today, albeit briefly, Behringer took the limelight once again in the synth world by publishing details directly on their website about a host of new synthesizers in the works. There's no images or prices for these synths, just spec. And soon after the details were removed. Here's what we managed to grab before that happened...
Let's start with the Behringer drum synth remakes of the Roland TR-808 and TR-909, LinnDrum and Oberheim drum machines. The 808, 909 and 999 do surprise us as we're aware Roland has sued Behringer for copying the look of their products in the recent past.

I want ALL of that. I seriously hope all of that is true. However, considering how long it took them to release the few stuff they have available ... it could be years before we see some of this stuff. IF it happens. I pre-ordered the "D" in June or July! But I'm still excited about it.
At first, I was like "another MS20?" but a eurorack version would be cool! Please allow pulse width modulation for other waveforms! And v/o, h/v switching for use with eurorack and korg's ms20 mini.
I will buy all of those synths if Behringer releases them. ESPECIALLY the VSC3 & 2600. This is so exciting! Hopefully NAMM 2018 has more info!
I'm getting ahead of myself... what about the OSCar and the OBXA Neo? Are they seriously working on all of this? And what is the "999" analog drum machine suppose to be? Their own spin on analog drum machines?
