Behringer Crave & RD-808 Sound Really Fantastic Together

Just days after Behringer announced the Crave, semi-modular analog synthesizer, there's a truly excellent-sounding video demo of the RD-808 drum machine playing along side it. Worth a watch!

The news Behringer were creating an affordable analog clone (with extra features) of the Roland TR-808 classic drum machine split the synth world in two. Many were understandably excited. The rest were dubious and often cutting about sound and build quality before the prototype had even been made!

Behringer, however, continued communicating their intentions and rough road map and then this year at NAMM 2019 they officially unveiled the RD-808 and soon after a brand new semi-modular analog synthesizer called Crave, which includes the famous Moog ladder filter and the oscillator of the Sequential Prophet 5. It also comes with a built-in sequencer and is priced at a no-brainer $199!

But, how do both the Crave and RD-808 actually sound? If you're even slightly interested... you need to watch / listen to this video from one of the Behringer German broadcasters tracking both. The Crave is being procedd by audio plugins...
