Arturia MiniBrute 2 & 2S Synths Can Be Paraphonic & Polyphonic Synths!

Imagine being able to play the new Arturia MiniBrute 2 & 2S polyphonically. This smart video by Loopop shows 6 ways to turn this mono synth with 2 VCOs into a paraphonic and polyphonic powerhouse.

Along with the new MiniBrute 2 and MiniBrute 2S hardware synth and RackBrute eurorack case and power announcements from Arturia this week came a flurry of compliments, complaints and questions from the internet. One of the most common was whether MiniBrute 2 /2S could be played duophonically.

The new Arturia MiniBrute 2 and 2S synths have two VCOs, however, there's no out-of-the-box capability to play paraphonically or polyphonically, other than the sequencer on the 2S. Fortunately, the extensive patch bay allows a lot of room for creative manipulations.

In this video Loopop shows not one but six different ways to play polyphonically and paraphonically on the MiniBrute 2 series, whether just using the patch bay, or for more flexibility, using external "helpers".

If anyone was going to discover how it's possible to turn MiniBrute 2 into a poly synth it was Loopop!

Fluxwithit used the AD envelope and some patching to create a third oscillator on the Minibrute 2S. Really cool stuff.
