Aphex Twin Música Software Coming Soon?

Na última corrida de entrevistas publicadas com Aphex Twin, desta vez da revista alemã, o Groove , uma seleção de entrevistados anteriores fez 25 perguntas. Entre aqueles que fornecem um ponto de vista interessante eram Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Sven Vth e DJ Koze. O que emergiu nesta entrevista exclusiva é que Aphex Twin contratou um programador de software para ajudar a tornar sua música para preparar conceitos em realidade.

Companheiro Galic Richard perguntou sobre sua mudança de hardware para software. E enquanto Richard D. James explicou seu novo álbum, sírio , é, basicamente, todos feitos com sintetizadores analógicos, ele também revelou que o software de música é algo que hes que investem tempo e esforço no momento.

Em suas próprias palavras:

“I’ve actually recently hired a Chinese programmer to make music software for me. It’s taking the concept of mutation into music software. You give the program some sounds you made and then it gives you six variations of it and then you choose the one you like most and then it makes another six and it kind of keeps trying to choosing the variations by itself. It’s a bit like that, but more advanced, but basically it starts with a sound, analyzes it, then does different versions of variations. It randomizes, it compares all of them to the original and then it picks the best one. It sounds totally awesome, but it needs to be tweeked a little bit. I will continue with this. I have a whole book full of ideas for software and instruments.”

Aphex Twin não é a primeira, nem será a última, grande artista a levar suas idéias e transformá-las em software de música. BTs colaboração com iZotope para criar os imensamente populares Stutter Editar vem à mente. Richard Devine também é incrivelmente influente neste espaço também.

Mas, a grande questão é se foram nunca vai experimentar Aphex Twin plug-ins de áudio em nossas DAWs tão cedo nós estamos esperando que vamos!
