Will this work standalone ? Without Computer ?

I can't quite understand what Akai are trying to accomplish here. The company already had a wide and faithful customer base among professional musicians, who would have happily spent a little extra for a standalone unit, even without a touchscreen. But instead they made the choice to totally ignore this community and compete with Native Instruments, a company which in the past few years has proved it could deliver a whole controller line (Maschine and it software) which, unlike Akai MPC Renaissance and its matching software, is well reliable and mature. If ever NI decide to launch a standalone unit, I predict this could be pretty much the end of Akai... What a shame to see such a waste of potential from Akai.
