ACPAD: An Innovative Wireless MIDI Controller for Acoustic Guitar

ACPAD is about to launch via Kickstarter. What is it? In a nutshell, it's a wireless MIDI controller that fits around the body of an acoustic guitar and lets you trigger sounds from your DAW. Cool.

Robert Sukroso calls the ACPAD, 3 years in the making, the world's First Wireless MIDI Controller for Acoustic Guitar. Now before you call “foul” the already available Guitar Wing from Livid Instruments is designed for electric guitars, not acoustic.

ACPAD is designed to be the bridge between electronic and acoustic music, and if you're still not convinced, check out the short video below (which has gone viral) showing Robert Sucrose performing with it:

Impressed? Well, here's a little bit more info about the upcoming battery-powered ACPAD. It will support both wireless MIDI and USB MIDI, trigger pads are velocity sensitive, it's thin (just 2mm thick!), Ableton Live looper presents are provided, and it'll be available in different wood grain, black and white designs.

Price? We're not sure yet. We'll have to wait until the Kickstarter to find this and more info out.
