Ableton Releases Live 9.7.5 Update. Here's What's New

Ableton Live 9 users that own a ROLI Blocks rejoice. Ableton's update takes Live 9.7.5 with a couple of useful bug fixes and improved support for the cool controller.  

Ableton today released a minor update for Live 9 bringing it up to version 9.7.5. There's not a host of new features to trawl through, but if you happen to be a ROLI Blocks owner you'll appreciate this free update.

Alongside improved support for ROLI Blocks, allowing Live users to implement their devices as a controller for Ableton Live there's a couple of bug fixes pushed through to improve the Live experience for everyone. This follows on from the 9.7.4 update which brought us improved control surface support for Arturia KeyLab Essential MIDI controller.

Here's what's new according to Ableton's release notes for Live 9.7.5:

Improvements and feature changes:

  • Introduced Control Surface support for Roli Blocks.

Bugfixes:

  • The Live GUI could become corrupted when instantiating certain third party devices.
  • When activating Link during playback, the playhead would in some cases jump to the beginning of Live's arrangement timeline.

 

Live 9 owners can update to 9.7.5 from their user accounts on the Ableton website.
