Paris Hilton Plays ROLI Seaboard & Blocks: Most Painful Video You'll Watch Today

We have nothing against Paris Hilton... but her video demo of the ROLI Seaboard RISE and Blocks really doesn't do justice to the innovative features and functionality of said gear unfortunately.

It seems like everything musical Paris Hilton puts her hand to doesn't quite turn out right. Videos of her DJ'ing have gone viral for all the wrong reasons. They often demonstrate her doing virtually nothing of note or worse, pressing buttons, tweaking knobs and sliding faders that are having no effect on the sound at all. Unfortunately, these give DJs a bad name.

And now there's this. We suspect ROLI are keen not to promote this video of Paris Hilton playing (murdering?) the ROLI Seaboard RISE and Blocks. Yikes. Be warned the sounds you'll hear aren't very musical.

Paris writes: "I love my new RISE," and continues to demystify what is actually happening in the video: "Making new tracks on my ROLI Seaboard RISE". Thanks for explaining that one!

Please bear in mind, the ROLI Seaboard RISE is actually a very musical and capable controller/instrument: just not demonstrated in the video above. While we don't expect Paris Hilton to be as skilful a player or producer as Jordan Rudess, it would be helpful if she was making sounds that were listenable using the RISE & Blocks.

You can stop watching after one minute if you're only interested in her synth performance. The rest appears to be a compilation of her other snapchat videos.

Here's a better video with Jordan Rudess introducing and playing the ROLI Seaboard RISE live at NAMM 2016:

It must be hard going through life being so dumb. I actually feel kind of sorry for her. And, yes, those sounds were painful...like fingernails being dragged across a blackboard. ;-)
