The recently announced Akai Pro MPC X and MPC Live have met with a very positive response from the music making public. Both these standalone MPC machines offer a lot of enticing features for the producer and the live performer. In fact, these two MPCs are both aimed at helping the producer and DJ further bridge the divide between the producing in the studio and performing on stage. Yet, from what we've seen so far, neither skimp on features or workflow.
Also announced with these two new MPCs was MPC 2.0 software. Amongst the features such as a new interface, workflow improvements, version 2 also sees the incorporation of audio tracks, clip launching and real-time time-stretching and pitch-shifting.
